Our

next Editor

an INFP

is going to tell us about passion  which these

pictures (from an album of her unique making) begin to introduce.

surinder02

“Flowers have always been a passion and earlier this year I undertook professional floristry training. My mentor and teacher is Hitomi Gilliam. Her approach to floristry as modern art rather than the old standard of just "copying" staid boring traditional designs has truly inspired me. I now have a dream, my own floral shop and am determined to make this a reality within a year.”

This is how Castlehom Chronicles is going to be different from every other blog on the Internet.  Our 16 Editors are going to center from their passion their lives and their loves.  It has taken some time and some false starts to see this.  But that is how it is going to  be.

It is all taking longer than I expected but that is reality.  Taking nothing away from Surinder – I should mention that because this is real – the Editor who is buying an RV and is going to “sail” around America is coming soon but suffice to say this isn’t Salon.  The Editors aren’t just writing about it, they are living it.

Best I mention Elisabeth.  No she has not died.  But it isn’t heaven starting a business, home schooling your kids and holding unto a big beautiful Texan when the economy is tanking.  Not that it isn’t rebounding but Elisabeth isn’t an analyst reading the ticker tapes she is the tennis ball or whatever I expect she will be telling us when she comes up for air.

God Bless America.

Toronto Star
Brash political star vs. ‘intoxicated’ cyclist.

In seconds, Yorkville road rage escalated into death and disgrace
ONTARIO - Following his release from police custody yesterday, an unshaven, tired-looking Michael Bryant made the following statement to media:

"I’m making a statement today on last night’s tragic events. At an appropriate moment, I will of course speak to you. I would however like to extend my deepest condolences to the family of Mr. Sheppard. To all those who have offered support to my family over the past 12 hours, thank you. I ask that the media continue to respect my family’s need for distance and privacy for the next few days. “
Thank you."

Less than an hour before his path would fatally cross that of former Ontario attorney general Michael Bryant, Darcy Allan Sheppard was sitting in the back of a police cruiser.

$5000.

“Friend Bernie Finkelstein, founder of True North Records, pointed out that Bryant had purchased a sleek black Saab convertible. "He’s just jealous because I got it for $5,000 and he’s waiting for it to fall apart," said Bryant.”

Why am I posting this stuff.  I didn’t know them. But my heart is with all of them.  Including the dead biker and his family. The brotherhood of bike couriers. I ride a bike down here In Tarpon Springs.  I lived in Victoria B.C. and I had the pleasure of the charmed life longer than Michael.  Then I got Cancer and did not die.  My first wife was a Metis, my second a cbc talking head whom the camera still loves. But enough about me. It’s Michael’s turn.

@bryantfacts Who needs PR, lawyers and spin, when you’ve got it all on camera http://bit.ly/XlVW2 #bikeTO8:39 AM Sep 9th from web

begs the question – are million$ going to be spent spinning or will Bryant do the right thing – and having done so – leave Toronto the Good and go farming or something very different – a new life – home school and  sailing.

Insect Brain

Insect Brain

Of course it will be harder to build an insect brain than it has been to write a chess program that can outplay  a Chess Champ.  Bobby Fisher.

We have to remember what we call IQ and what makes us smarter than the animals, birds and earth worms is a last layer of luxury we may not be able to afford.  Not that that will stop us. .  This is  just a thought I wanted to share arising from watching my two cats Mason and Dixie.

What if his parents had done the same to him?

25th Hour

2002_25th_hour_004

25th Hour.

I just watched the DVD last nite so in addition to watching the movie I listened to the Director

Spike Lee

and the writer

Benioff

on the DVD.  It is “all good”  and Bernioff hits all my keys.
